The word Kajukenbo is derived from the letter of the styles that contributed to the creation of the art. Together they make up the Kajukenbo motto: Through this fist art one gains long life and happiness.
Kajukenbo is also very effective very successful when competing in karate tournament events such as self-defense techniques, point fighting and tournament forms competitions./p>
Discipline, Self-respect, Focus and Confidence
When children begin training with Kajukenbo, they will gain discipline and self-respect for themselves and others around them. Parents and teachers will also notice a change in the young Kajukenbo practitioner--that the child's young thoughts are less erratic and the young practitioner is be able to focus on specific tasks at hand. Note that the child may not be perfect; but he/she will have a more focused mind./p>
